It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 11th Congress on Methodological Issues in Oral Health Research, to be held in Athens, Greece, in November 2026.

This congress will build on the tradition of the previous congresses and will center on the transformative role of artificial intelligence in oral health care, exploring its potential to revolutionize research methodologies, clinical decision-making, and patient care.

Keynote speakers include Prof. Reinhilde Jacobs (KU Leuven, Belgium; Karolinska Institute, Sweden), who will present “AI Beyond the Metrics: Serving Oral Healthcare Applications.” Prof. Stefanos Kollias (Emeritus Professor, NTUA; Chairman of GRNET S.A.) will introduce new challenges and approaches in AI within the Hellenic and European context. Prof. Ralf Kurt Willy Schulze (University of Bern, Switzerland) will discuss “Artificial Intelligence: Concepts and Challenges’’ in Dental Care. Prof. Anne de Hond (University Medical Center Utrecht, Netherlands) will explore “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare: Promises and Pitfalls.”

Finally, Prof. Jean-Marc Retrouvey (Case Western Reserve University, USA) will address “Maturing the AI Paradigm in Orthodontics—From Algorithmic Comparison to Clinical Utility.”

Researchers and students are encouraged to present their work through short oral presentations or posters. Key dates include abstract submission from 10 April to 30 June 2026, notification of acceptance by 30 July 2026, and early registration opening 4 April 2025.
