Reinhilde Jacobs is dentist, Doctor Dental Sciences (PhD), periodontologist (KULeuven) and Master in Dental Radiology (University London). She is full professor at KULeuven and visiting professor at Karolinksa Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden and Dalian Medical University, China. R. Jacobs is heading the omfsimpath research group KULeuven (omfsimpath.be) and the Dentomaxillofacial Imaging center, University Hospitals Leuven. She is Secretary General of the International Association of DentoMaxilloFacial Radiology and President of the Digital Dentistry Society. She is section editor of Clinical Oral Investigations, Journal of Dentsitry; International Journal of Oral Implantology and European Journal of Radiology. She holds a Dr Honoris Causa at “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Cluj-Napoca and elected member of the Academia Europaea. Her current research is focusing on AI developments for oral healthcare applications.
