Stefanos Kollias has been Chairman of the Board of National Infrastructures for Research and Technology (GRNET) since 2019. He is Emeritus Professor in Machine Learning and AI in Electrical and Computer Engineering School, National Technical University Athens. He is IEEE Fellow, having produced world leading research in Machine & Deep Learning, AI and multimodal content analysis. He has published  300 papers in international journals and conferences, with 16500 citations and h-index 60  (Google Scholar). He has supervised 50 Ph.D. students, many of who are Academics in Greece, Europe and US. He has led his group participation in 100 European R&D projects, attracting funding of more than 20M Euro. He is member of the EC Expert Group on Cultural Heritage, advising in AI powered CH. He is also member of the Board of Directors of Michael Culture Association. He is coordinating the PHAROS AI Factory, with GRNET installing the Greek Daedalus Supercomputer.
